Autumn Wishes

Double D "Fright Night" Challenge; Mod Squad Challenge "Color Me Fall"; Paper Players Theme Challenge #364 ~~ Autumn Floral" ~~

This is a Tri Fold Card closed up and held with a decorative belly band. ( photo of the card opened up is below).

The challenge of die cutting the card is keeping the base card stock in one piece while die cutting the top portion through the Big Shot without cutting through the fold.
I then cut two more framelits in descending size.

To stamp the leaves, I used the "baby wipes" technique.

This is achieved by first laying down three layers of aluminum foil. On top of that, layer four moist baby wipes. Next, choose three or four re inker colours and drop about four drops of each colour onto the baby wipes, being careful not to overlap colours. Voila! You have now created your very own, unique "stamp pad".

Next step is to stamp your leaf images by placing your stamp down while overlapping colours on your "ink pad". When you twist the stamps around in different directions, you will get different colour combinations.

I then made the belly band, fussy cut the leaves and applied them with dimensionals.

With the belly band slipped off to open the card, you can now see how I carried the theme of the leaves on the underside of the flap as well. But note that the inside leaves were die cut from the coordinating patterned paper used for the layered frame and side panels instead of stamped images.
In the left corner below sentiment I "stamped off" to create a more subtle image.

What's great about the "Baby Wipe" technique is that you can create any colour combination of your choosing. Think of soft yellows, purples and greens for an Easter theme, a trio of blues for snowflakes and all the endless combinations for Holiday cards.
Leave a comment below and let me know how you used this technique.
